Ford is one of the very powerful and leading manufacturers of car introduced fiesta. It is the most successful with a sales force of around 12 million cars manufactured and sold in six generations starting from the year 1976.General motors coined the term fiesta first .But impressed by the proposal of design for the range of B segment cars General motors gave it freely to Ford and thus fiesta came into being. It traditionally followed manual transmission. Ford fiesta 1 took wheels in the year 1976 in Europe. This 1st generation car had an engine capacity around 960 cc. Power was around 40 to 84 hp.

The second third and fourth generation's cars of Ford fiesta succeeded that in the subsequent years and finally Ford fiesta V was born in the year 2002.It did not have much resemblance to first generation car of 1976 both in looks, style, capacity, engine type, speed and other features. The engine type alone was same as that of previous fiesta but was renamed as Zetec as this was sportier. It had electric steering which improved the economy of fuel used. It won the Australia's award in the small car segment award from the jury for the year 2004.Test drives were offered for several months. In Australia & India fiesta V was the 1st model of fiesta to be sold. In spite of mechanical advancement many did not like this model because they felt it was looking dull. The width of the car was 66.3 inches and height was around 67 inches. It weighed around 2500 pounds. Mazda2 and Ford Ecosport were other models related to this which were more performance based. The successor of this model was MK V1 in year 2008.MK V facelift done in the year 2005 with minor alterations like changes in head lights, bumpers, door mirrors, wipers that were automatic and many colors. The sales went up by nearly 25 percent because of this.

The kit includes panel, cage to mount, fittings and screws, both aerial and harness adaptors and DIN. It can be readily installed and its fine texture and color matches the look of car interiors. The adaptors are used for the conversion to din size for installation of unit. Ford is planning to produce higher end models of fiesta in the year 2010 by setting up plants at various places including Mexico, China and Spain and promote sales all over the world. In 2009 Fiesta movement was launched to promote the market and in internet sites that were popular people was asked to share test driving experiences particularly in USA.

What Is The Big Deal About Car Decals? By Terry Bolton

Terry Bolton

It's natural for new car owners to obsess over their cars, especially if you're the kind of driver who likes to stand out amongst the rest of the cars on the highway, or rich enough to change cars like you would shirts or cell phones. Now, we can't all get regular paint jobs, whether it's the full body type or just a nice airbrush painting on your hood. But you can still assert your personality on your automobile by using car decals.

Using decals to spruce up your car is a new and exciting way to design your car. Decals are so varied that you'll most likely be overwhelmed by the choices you have. There are big decals that can cover the entire length of your car and then there are decals that are just about the size of your hand. There are practically hundreds of ways you can jazz up your car with decals. With decals, your car can truly be an extension of your self. There are now shops that specialize in designing car decals and applying them on the car. There are decal kits available that are highly customizable too.

Below are car decals that are most commonly used today:

Window Graphics

These car decals are the see-through decals placed on a car's glass windows. Basically, these car decals help block sunlight. They also help prevent a car's interior from premature fading. Lastly, these car decals offer privacy. Car decals for windows are made of micro-perforated sheets (similar to vinyl or latex). You can still see the road from the inside of your car, but people outside will only see the design.

Fullside Decals

These car decals are artistic designs pasted on the side(s) of a car. Think of the cars in the film, The Fast and the Furious. Fullside car decals come in a variety of designs. Take your pick: flames, patriotic, tribal art, colors of the European flag, comic characters, checkered geometrics, animals and more. You can have your own design if you wish even. A number of fullside car decal designs come with matching car decals for the hood.

Hood Decals

These car decals are big stickers placed right on the center top of the car's hood. If you want huge and elaborate hood decals for your car, you can go for the hood decals designed to be mirror images of each other and are spread out over the entire hood of the car. Take note that hood decals are car wash safe. If you go with the magnetic type of hood decals, you can change the design every month or as often as you want.

It doesn't matter what color your car is, fullside and hood decals come in many different colors that will complement your current paint job. Aside from the more standard colors of black, white, red and Olympic blue, stickers also come in colors like magenta, teal, yellow, beige, gun metal grey, sapphire blue, dark green, burgundy, teal, lime green, orange, even gold and silver. Given all these choices, the possibilities of owning a 'new' car every now and then are endless.

The Importance of Road Sign Guides By Benedict Smythe

Benedict Smythe

In getting ready to drive for the very first time, one needs a lot of lessons to be taken. Some requirements that a student driver will need are application for a license, enrollment in a driving school, road familiarization, traffic rule tests and road ethics. One fundamental element of driving that should never be missed out would is the comprehensive knowledge on road or traffic signs. Every good driver takes a firsthand discipline course in knowing these signs.

Every traveler, may he be a passenger or a driver may have noticed along the road side various sign boards that serve important purposes. These road reminders stand as route guides, warning and traffic flow regulator for motorists and pedestrians likewise. As control devices for traffic, signs need full attention, respect and adequate drivers’ response.

For the beginner’s information, traffic signs are positioned on places that engineers have justified through their studies. Oftentimes, these are placed beside or above the highways or streets. If the positioning of the signs is not supported by any visual considerations or expert reasons, these may become destructive rather than effective means of guiding the motorists. When a lot of signs are standing near each other, it could lead to confusion and worsening of traffic flow, plus, fund for public works are not utilized properly. Not only that, it could also lead to misunderstandings of drivers and authorities as well that might lead to more problems and the worst accidents.

With the possibility of road confusions, there are different shapes and colors aside from the symbols that are designated and printed on these traffic devices. Shapes are assigned to make the signs easily recognizable and the number of sides speaks how critical the message is.

The circle is used for railroad early warning signal, an octagon in exclusively assigned for the stop sign, a crossbuck is used to warn about a railroad crossing ahead, a downward pointed triangle is for the yield sign and a rectangular board is usually assigned to route names and temporary traffic controls. There are also some shapes marking various places such as schools, which are designated with a pentagon shape, a trapezoid for recreational sites and other irregularly shaped signs.

On the other hand, signs are not about shapes at all. Colors are also factors included in effective transmittal of messages. Standard background colors like red is used for stop, yield, do not enter and wrong way signs, markers that give you instant warning even from afar. Green is used for guide information, orange for temporary traffic controls, yellow for warning and school signs, brown for recreational sites and blue for emergency evacuation routes.

Stating the above mentioned reasons and assigned media, we find the importance of understanding the messages traffic signs represent. In most countries and their respective transportation sectors, there are standard rules being observed and implemented. New and student drivers are all bound to know their signs. Simple as it might seem, details of the signs are important to control discipline on the road.

Basic Details You Need to Know When Applying For a License By Benedict Smythe

Benedict Smythe

Being a driver means being a professional on the road. Like any other occupation, the privilege of safe and authorized driving is given to those who have completed their tests and lessons. Eventually a proof of permission and special right is granted to those who are eligible to put their vehicles on the road. This special certification is what is known as a driver’s license.

A license is necessary for an individual to drive a vehicle in any public place. This should contain all the information of the person as registered in the transportation office. There are various classifications of driving license, each of these are valid evidences of permission, but of course, there are holding periods and levels of expertise which a person should have.

When we say a person possesses a Learner License, it means that the driver is just a student or one who is undergoing a course on driving. This is just temporary since it will only be valid for six months. On the other hand, if you are holding a Permanent License, it could mean that you already have renewed your learner license and after completing your course, eligibility to run on public roads is given permission to you.
If you want to get a learner license, you have to make your way to local government sector in your area that caters especially to transportation services, such as Land Transportation Offices or offices of Sub Divisional Police Officers. These offices are authorized to help any individual when it comes to driving concerns.

However, you should be eligible when applying for a learner license. Qualifications are given before you can obtain such license, like being 18 years old. But when you are just 16, parent or guardian’s written consent must be obtained. Also, if one is eyeing to be a commercial driver, he needs to be at least 20 years of age and is somehow familiar with the prevailing traffic rules and regulations.

Prior to your application, always have important documents at hand. Papers such as billing statements, insurance policies, passport, identity cards, pay slips, ID pictures and parents’ consent, these will back up your residence and age information. There are some forms that you will complete for your medical and personal identifications for the license as well. Also, don’t forget to be ready with your cash for the application fees. When you have completed all the requirements, you will then take tests as conducted by authorities. After around three days, when you have successfully passed the exams, you will be given your learner license.

As in the case of permanent license, this is possible after you have acquired a learner license and this is applicable within 180 days from the date of its issuance. The same procedures apply, only add to your list the original learner’s license and other forms which you will need to accomplish. Upon granting of your permanent license, remember that for most cases, the validity given for Non-Pros is 5 years and 3 for Professionals. After such, a driver is held responsible for the renewal of his license.

Custom Aftermarket Motorcycle Forward Controls Handlebars and Risers For Metric Cruisers By Dominik Hussl

Dominik Hussl

One of the joys of owning your own motorcycle is the custom bits that you can use to customize the bike. Parts like Forward Controls and risers as well as handlebars can change the look of your cruiser instantly with very little investment. Also most of these mods can be done on your own. Custom forward controls are a great way to give any metric cruiser or American Road Hog a more custom chopper look. A nice set of straight bars can also give your ride a real drag bike look. especially when you combine them with a set of handle bar risers. There are several manufacturers to choose from when it comes to customizing your cruiser.

For a great set of custom motorcycle handlebars Flanders has one of the biggest selections around. This manufacturer carries anything from your classic handlebars to straight bars to ape hangers. Whatever your flavor you're likely to find custom handlebars by Flanders. Carlini Design is another quality maker of handlebars. Their selection is not as extensive as Flanders, however they make up for it with some very unique handlebars with a nice custom look. There are many more makers of handlebars but these two are the ones I am most familiar with.

Motorcycle Forward Controls are another way to take a OEM Metric Cruiser and give it a more custom chopper look. Forward controls basically take a bike with mid controls and move them to a forward position giving you a more relaxed riding position on the bike. Jardine makes some decent forward controls. forward controls and floorboards are a great way to customize your ride. You will find the riding position with forward controls to be much more comfortable then the mid position, not to mention that the forward controls look way cooler.

Risers are made by many of today's manufacturers of aftermarket motor cycle parts. Companies like Cobra, Show Chrome and Lightning Performance all make quality handlebar risers. Most of them are made of either a billet aluminum or some sort of steel which is then chrome plated for a quality finish. handlebar Risers are made in a variety of sizes usually a 1.5 to about a 5 inch riser is what is available depending on the manufacturer. Also when buying a handlebar risers be sure that you match them up correctly with the right size handle bar. the dimension of the handlebar is important. If you do not match the bars with the right riser you will have major issues with installation because the hole in the riser is designed for a specific dimension and will usually not accommodate a different dimension. Some risers also come with a rise like for example you might have a 3 inch rise and a 1 inch pullback instead of just rising straight up risers with a pullback also do just that they are designed with a bend that relocates the bar a bit closer to the tank and the rider.

Learn About Different Types of Commercial Vehicles By Daniel Millions

Daniel Millions

Vehicles are the non-living means of transport and they are used all around the world for different purposes. Most of the vehicles are made by human beings but there are some vehicles that are not made by human beings. Floating tree trunks and icebergs are some of the vehicles which are not made by humans and cars, bicycles and boats are some of the vehicles which are made by humans.

As a result of the creativity of human beings and the development in technology, a number of vehicles have been developed over the past few years and more advanced vehicles are being developed. Vehicles differ from each other on the basis of driving force, load carrying capacity and the purpose.

A number of vehicles have been developed for carrying out specific purposes like boats have been developed for carrying humans and cargo over the water whereas aircrafts have been developed for carrying humans and cargo through the air. Also, some vehicles are powered by electric motors whereas some vehicles don't use electric motors for their working. A rickshaw is an example of a vehicle which does not use an electric motor as it is powered by human beings.

Watercraft: A watercraft is a vehicle which is used to move through the water. It can be used for different purposes as it can be used for transport, commerce, physical exercise and pleasure. It is even used by army for carrying out some missions. Boats, rafts, submarines are some of the watercrafts.

Aircraft: An aircraft is a vehicle which is used to travel through the Earth's atmosphere. An aircraft is either used for traveling from one place to another or for transporting goods from one place to another. It is faster than vehicles which are used on land and which are used on water. Also, aircrafts can carry large amount of cargo when compared to land vehicles and aircrafts are also very expensive when compared to other vehicles.

Proper training is required in order to run an aircraft. Aerostats and aerodynes are the two categories of aircrafts. Aerostats use buoyancy to float in the air whereas a dynamic upthrust is required for aerodynes in order to push the aircraft upwards. Rockets, airplanes, helicopters are some of the popular aircrafts.

Hovercraft: A hovercraft is a vehicle which is designed to travel over a smooth surface. It is supported by the high-pressure air as the high-pressure air is ejected downwards i.e. against the surface below the vehicle. The high-pressure air lifts the vehicle so that it can move easily over the surface.

One engine is required for driving the fan available at the bottom of the hovercraft and one or more engines are required for providing the thrust so as to propel the craft in the desired direction. Hovercrafts are used by companies for transporting goods from one place to another and they are also used by armies for carrying out missions that are to be executed over the seas and oceans.

Land Vehicles: Land vehicles are the vehicles which are used on land. A land vehicle can be animal-powered, human-powered or motor-powered. In an animal-powered vehicle, the driving force is produced by animals whereas driving force is produced by humans in a human-powered vehicle. An electric motor is used for producing the driving force in a motor-powered vehicle. Motor-powered vehicles are faster than animal-powered and human-powered vehicles.

That being said, land vehicles are further classified on the basis of their usage as they are also categorized as construction vehicles, emergency vehicles and commercial vehicles. As for the examples of land vehicles, carts, sledges are examples of animal-powered vehicles and bicycles, rickshaw, skates are examples of human-powered vehicles. Cars, buses, tucks, motorcycles are some of the widely used motor-powered vehicles.

Aftermarket Motorcycle Tachometers By Dominik Hussl

Dominik Hussl

If you happen to have a cruiser that does not come with a tachometer then it might be a wise investment to find an aftermarket tach that will allow you to see at what RPM your motor revs when you are going down the road. A good tach is definitely a must for anyone that rides it like they stole it. I have always ridden one of my bikes by feel but when I actually installed a digital tachometer it was nice to see the rpms. Besides the fact that I bought a billet aluminum bullet tach that looks really nice on the bike. Billet tachometers are a great way to customize your bike and actually add a functional piece of equipment to your ride as well. Also some fo your nicer bullet motorcycle gauges have a speedometer as well as a temperature function.

Dakota Digital makes a digital gauge for motor cycles that is both a speedometer and a tachometer. Not just that its also a bullet tach so it will fit nicely on most cruisers and provide a more custom streamline look to your ride. If you are working on a project or a custom chopper Dakota Digital motorcycle gauges are a perfect fit for customizing the bike as well as adding needed functionality. These gauges come in a variety of applications and can be easily installed. For example the Dakota digital 3015 is a 3 38' bullet style gauge that is a speedometer and a tach. It has many features and settings like a odometer with resettable trip meter, choose from several settings: speedometer only, speedometer with odometer and trip meter, or speedometer with bar / graph tachometer. A user friendly interface easily allows you to configure these gauges as needed. Another one of their motorcycle gauges is the 300 series which allows for several display options including voltmeter, oil pressure, water temp or oil temperature as well as fuel level or air pressure readings. Of all the motorcycle gauges available this company has many great multifunctional units available including a speedometer function.

If you prefer a analog tach which is more along the lines of the old school motorcycle gauges. Pro1 makes some really nice analog tachometers. ProOne has several tach's that are made from billet aluminum which is then chrome plated for a quality finish. One of their gauges also has a built in 4 inch riser. Most of what Pro1 offers is a tach that directly replaces the original handlebar clamp which combines the clamp with a analog tach which makes it easy to install on your bike. Most of the tachometers available thru this manufacturer come with installation instructions and are easily installed.
So really when it comes to choosing a motorcycle speedometer, tachometer or any sort of gauge it becomes a matter of how you want to customize your cruiser. Of course tach's for sport bikes are also available but those are generally installed in to the dash of the sportbike. Autometer makes a great tach for sport bikes.
